    Help, Segmenting Problem In VD

I have been having a problem segmenting a 1.33 gb avi file. The original file plays perfectly; howerver when segmented it has problems. The original files stats are:

    Duration: 2;24;27;25
    Has Dropped Frames
    3604 keyframes
    202992 delta frames
    1051 empty frames
    FR: 23.98 fps
    Compressor: 'DIV3', DivX MPEG4 Layer-3 Codec

    Audio: 44100 Hz - 16 bit - Stereo - Mpeg Layer-3 codec

I have tried segmenting this in both VD & NanDub. I open the file, set a/v to Direct Stream Copy, and Save Segmented Avi. The segments seam to encode and finish writing properly. The First of the segmented files plays flawlessly, however all subsequent segments hang when played.

When opened in VD I recieve the following error on the first frame of the segments: "VideoSourceAVI [ICDecompress] error: unspecified error (-100)". However if I skip past the first frame the movie plays fine.

I cannot seem to write a segmented avi from this original file without this problem. Is there something I am doing wrong, Is it a problem with VD & Nandub. Any Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Try doing this manually by using the following method:
    1. Open file in Virtual/nandub
    2. Set both Video and Audio tabs to Direct Stream Copy
    3. Use the Mark In/Out buttons to specify the start and end of the first segment
    4. Go to File -> Save as AVI and give a name to the new file
    5. Repeat steps (1) - (4) for the second and subsequent segments
