PIII 450Mhz
256 megs ram
40 gig 7200 rpm hd
ATI Rage Fury Pro 32 meg video
SoundBlaster Live Audio Card
Windows 2000 Pro
Virtual Dub 1.4.8
I just upgraded from a 12 gig HD to A 40 gig and replaced Win98se with win2000 pro. With win98se I could only capture 4 gig at a time, aprox 21 minutes with Virtual Dub, using ATI VCR 1.0 CIF NTSC 352x480. With win2000 pro the 4 gig limit does not exist, but I'm cannot use the VCR 1.0 352x480 capture format because I am unable to access the ATI Multimedia Video Driver under Virtual Dub's capture preferences. It only gives me the options for the Microsoft WDM Image Capture driver. Using this driver my captured files are almost twice as big (7.5 to 8 gig per aprox 21 mins). This has pretty much defeated my purpose for upgrading in the first place. Does anyone know of any way to remedy this problem?
