    eazyvcd turns compter off

Hi can anyone help , i try converting dvds to vcd with eazyvcd and it does all the early stuff but when it is using TMPGEnc it will sometimes go nearly all the way thru the movie or sometimes it just does about 10% then the computer will turn itself off then restart.I opened the side panel and put a little fan there to hopefully cool the cpu but it still does it. It never turns off at all only when i'm using this program.I loaded and reloaded it and even got the new 1.15 one off the net to no avail. Could it be a memory problem, idont know but any help would be appreciated. My system is an Athlon xp1700+ 1.48ghz 256mb of ram. thanx

Try running the process with the case open, to keep the system cool.
You might also try running cpucool or motherboardmonitor, to see how hot your cpu gets durring the conversion.
If it's near 60-65 C, it cirtainly too hot. optimally you should'nt get over 45-50 C.
Donate your idle CPU time for something usefull.

you could try the nice program called "dvd2svcd"

I haven't had, or noticed any signs of overheating yet EDIT: (on dvd2svcd)...
