problem joining 2 avi files in virtualdub(mod)

Hi I have some problems, I hope someone can help me,

I have 5 avi files (of 22 minutes) that I would like to merge into 1 big avi file.

But the audio streams have not exactly the same time as the video stream.
So when I get them all togeter in the 3rd avi the sound is not on the right place.
I know you can stretch the video so it is the same as the sound but is it also possible to stretch the sound so it matches the video.

If there is a function to do this (in virtualdub(mod)) please tell me how I can do this.

P.S.

I have a little experience with the audio filters.

But I really don't know what I have to do, and how a can see or calculate how much 'to short/to long' the sound in the avi files is.

Try using AVSync, which allows you to automatically either adjust the video framerate or adjust the audiostream...

When I open the video file he gives this error.

ERROR: The audio channel is required to use the PCM CODEC

And after that he won't change anything.

(The sound in the avi's is all MP3 128kbit CBR)

The program did not work. So i send hole the day doing the audio of this files again and i edited then with cool edit. The where to short so a added like 0.1 sec silence at the end of the track and my problem was fixed.
