    Avisynth

How can I make Virtual Dub to save to a file of similar size if Im running an AVS edited movie?

Im trying to trim and fade in/out with Avisynth, the script works fine in Virtual Dub but once I save to a AVI file (in Direct Stream Copy) the resulting file is huge, as if it was uncompressed?
Do I have to re-process the movie in Full Processing mode?

Well you have another thread that is the same but I will put more info here just remember don't cross-post

In VirtualDub select under Video "Full Processing Mode"
Then under video select Compression Choose and configure the codec you want to use

    Then Save as AVI

Ok. I figured that should be done after looking at the info for the AVS file. It says uncompressed either to video and audio then I have to re-process the movie to get it edited with AviSynth.
I thought there was a work around this so that the file wouldnt have to be re-processed, that's why I posted here.
      Thanks.
