Microsoft MPEG-4 video codecs V1 & V2

How about microsofts codecs? are they good?

Same as DivX v.3.11alpha...

First of all, they are the original. They are a little old and so there are better codecs now. The microsofts codecs and the old DivX3.11 are only acceptable with a 2-pass-encoding like NanDUB. 1-pass sometimes produces very ugly blocks.
