FlaskMPEG Errors Out

I was trying to show my friend (who is not a registered member here) the way I make DivX files of my anime DVDs, and he wanted to try to do the same thing for his. (I've been using FlaskMPEG because it is the only program I've found so far that will put subtitles on the video without using other programs.) Anyway, when he rips the DVD with DVD Decrypter and then tries to make the AVI with FlaskMPEG, it acts like it's finished after it gets to 2%. Needless to say, the DivX file doesn't work. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Since you obviously understand how to use Flask, why don't YOU simply show your "mystery" friend?

That's the problem. I am familiar with the workings of Flask, but I have no clue about what to do in this situation. If I knew the solution, I wouldn't have to ask anyone else.
