    divx to vcd.....sound problem

    Having spent some time getting my head around converting divx to cvd.

    I eventually got around a sinc problem.I converted no problem.

    Playing the files on my pc.....no problem.

    Burn em......all i get is a picture that works fine and wonderful soundtrack.....on the pc

    Put the disc/s into mi dvd player ......great video,sound is just cracks and farts.

    Any suggestions

    I am using all latest progs and advice posted on this excellent fourum

    Did you extracted the audio first... if not..

    try to use virtualdub....
    load the whole file..

    got to audio....
    turn full processing mode on.....
    go to compression... select uncompressed PCM
    save wav file...

    and then load the .wav file when you encode the movie...
    probably with a proggy like Panasonic Mpeg enc, or TMPGenc.

      If you've use audio at 48,000Hz, this could be the source of your problem. Try using 44,100Hz at 224Kbps.
