    Shring DIVX movie

    Hallo everybody,

Someone that can tell me how I shrink an existing DIVX movie.

I have some movies in DIVX 3, 4 and 5 version, that all are a little to big, to fit on a 800 MB CD-ROM, som I need to shrink the movies with up to 200 MB - How do I do that ???

Try Re-Encoding them to a smaller bitrate in DivX, with Virtual Dub.

      Shrink DIVX

Can I use Virtual Dub when I wish to skrink an existing movie, and is it just a matter of ajusting the bit-rate.

yes the bitrate of a movie is what counts for the final size of it.
in this case you could also use the fast recompress method
in video dropdown menue. make sure that you use a compatible codec, if not the same.

          DIVX Recompress program

          Hallo again,

Got the point, that it is the bit rate that counts. But with wich program can I recompress my old/new DIVX movies (ver. 3,4,5).

          Thanks !

Yes, as long as you have the required codecs installed...
