    try AviInfo here:
Download Terabits AVI Info, a software allows you to find out more about an AVI file

once installed, right click on the Avi, and click Avi Information.
From there go to Synchronize Audio.

there are also guides on how to do this if you have any trouble.
a little bit is better than nada.
sometimes you want the whole enchilada.

      Which player did you use?
You can try to use another player... like DivX player 2.0 alfa, which is included with the DivX codec 5 pro. I'm using that player because it requires less cpu than WMplayer... Or the second choice you have is to download VirtualDub and try to sync your avi... My Sugestion is to try to play your avi with other player....
