White screen XP

I'm using the divx 4.12 codec in windowsXP. all OSupgrades and patches are done. I was ab;e to play divx movies all the time then all of a sudden all i get is a white screen in media player and when I use The Playa i can see the movie as long as it's not in full screen mode. i have tried re-installing to codec and the playa and i can't get itto work at all. help!

I also just updated the divx codec to 5.0 and i'm still having the same problem.

Sounds more like you have a problem with your video driver. Have you got 3.11 installed as well?

nope, only hte divx 5 codec. all my drivers on the machine are the most updated ones and the ones that worked before with my movies.

I suggest you install 3.11, FOLLOWED by 4.12. DivX5 takes over the playback rights of 3.11 without your permission and I hate that.
