when i load the mpeg file of an svcd to virtualdubmod in order to encode it to avi, i select the full processing mode in order to compress it enough. but i think that the sound is uncompressed in the output avi file and thus the output avi has a size of 700MB!!! the thing is that i haven't found any settings to change the sound bitrate and so i have to recompress the avi file with another program. could you help me a bit 'cause i havent' used virtualdubmod before?
virtualdubmod does not compress sound

Hello and welcome to the forums. From the "Available Streams" dialog if you have selected "Full Processing Mode" after right-clicking on the audio stream, you must right-click it again and select "Compression" and select an appropriate audio codec (such as mp3) to compress the audio stream.Last edited by ormonde; 21 Mar 2005, 05:45 AM.
