HELP ME! can't make Divx

I'm using the Auto DVD Backup program, and I'm having a problem. When it is encoding the avi the file size remains at zero, and when it runs vdub the process stops ans i basically wasted all of my time, please help!

Are you using 2-pass? Cos if so, the avi file produced at the end of the first pass will have a very small or zero file size. You then have to start the second pass which will finish the job and make your avi viewable. If this doesn't help, my only other advice is to USE SMARTPRIPPER AND FLASK MPEG! I have successfully ripped every film I've tried with these programs!
