    MPEG2 Editor

What is the best editor for MPEG2 files. I have tryed many including tmpeg, sonic, virtualdub, windows movie maker,

What I want is something to cut, split, crop, and join MPEG2 files, maybe even ajust the bitrate. I know tmpeg is awesome for mpeg1 and just about everything else. But its slim pickins for MPEG2 files. ANy suggestions wold be great.

"But its slim pickins for MPEG2 files."

The purchased version of "TMPGenc" makes the identical set of MPEG1-related tools available for MPEG2...

Also, VirtualDub is not really useful as any kind of MPEG editor, since ALL output by VirtualDub (and VirtualDubMOD) is ONLY in .AVI format...

We create the best video software encoder, DVD/Blu-ray/AVCHD authoring software, and MPEG lossless editing software.

Did you CAREFULLY read the following:

"Limitation: This version is freely usable for 14 days. After this period, a valid
Serial Number key is necessary to unlock the software and continue to use it."

If you really want to edit the files, and not just cut out bits, get something like Vegas or Pinnacle.

Thanks for the link ormonde.. But it looks like the full version dont do much more then the free version. I made a 720X480 MPEG2 with sonic, and tryed to open it with TMPGenc mpeg tools, and I get an invalid audio stream or unsupported file type, same error I used to get with the free version.
