virtualdub - left channel to 2 channel

I'm using virtual dub to compress an mpeg file to a divx file with mp3 audio. When i captured the mpeg file, it was in mono so the audio only played out the left channel. I am wondering if there's an easy way to tell virtualdub (or some other program) to take what's playing out the left channel and duplicate it to the right channel. yes I know it will still be mono, but it just bugs me having it play out of one speaker

    Thanks guys,
    Jim

      Sure:

      1) Load the mpeg file into VirtualDubMOD (NOT "standard" VirtualDub)

      2) From the "Streams" dropdown menu click on "Stream list"

      3) RIGHTclick on the audiostream - and change to "Full processing mode"

      4) Select "Conversion" - and change "Channels" to "Stereo"
