    Frameserver

    Hi,

i started using nandub for encoding only recently and i'm wondering witch frameserver to use: avisynth, vfapi or ...

What are the (dis)advantages of both?

    Thx for your help Noets

Both are good frameservers. However, GordianKnot, which writes .avs scripts (Avisynth), automates a lot of the process (Cropping, resizing, subtitles, etc.), making it the frameserver of choice of many.

I agree with Enchanter. Although some swear by vfapi , I have had no trouble with AviSynth's quality or compatability whatsoever. I have been using it for a while now with my DVD rips. Go for AviSynth

I'm not saying that vFAPI is bad in any way, but as I said earlier, GK aotomates a lot of the tedious work for you and hence making it a very convenient tool to use. Avisynth happens to be the framserver of choice by GK, being easily edited by any word editor.

I still use vFAPI a lot anyway, out of being more used to it.
