    Virtual Dub Newbie Question

    Hi

I've been wrestling with virtual dub to try and de-interlace a 7min AVI file.

I am encountering two main problems

    1. The file size i am generating is HUGE, I realise I must apply some compression to both audio and video but the output is still massive compared with the original.

I dont know if this is related but

    2. When I then view the de-interlaced file the audio completely cuts off after 2mins 3 secs, every time, no matter what filters i apply.

This is merely a step in creating a multi platform miniDVD. The interlaced version and the SVCD work fine on the TV and I just need to get the PC miniDVD done to complete my project.

    Any help greatly appreciated
