    Can't join avi files

When i try to join two avi files using virtualdub 1_4_9 this error pops up"Cannot append segment:The video streams
have different sampling rates [29.97027 vs 29.97028]".How to i fix this?

The two clips must have identical features---such as framerate---in order to join them.

Yes, but if you increase or decrease the frame rate the resulting video may look abnormally fast or slow.

          "[29.97027 vs 29.97028]"

You will not suffer any observable quality reduction by adjusting the framerate of the second file to that of the first (The difference is a virtually non-existent 1/100,000 of a second).

          1) Load the second file into VirtualDub

          2) Set BOTH "Video" and "Audio" to "Direct Stream Copying"

          3) From the "Video" dropdown menu, select "Framerate"

          4) Select "Change framerate to" and enter 29.97027

          5) From the "File" dropdown menu, select "Save as AVI" and enter a new filename for the modified "Part 2" file

          6) Close VirtualDub (as a precaution), then restart it

          7) Set BOTH "Video" and "Audio" to "Direct Stream Copying"

          8) Load your original "Part 1"

          9) Append your modified "Part 2"

          10) From the "File" dropdown menu, select "Save as AVI" and enter a new filename for the combined file

          Let us know of your success ;>}

              (Holy thread ressurection Batman!)

Ive read this solution and it doesnt work for me. Im using VirtualDub1.6.11 and when I try to save my second part it doesnt save to the frame rate I have tried to convert it to. Part 1 is 30.19187 and when I try to set Part 2 to the same frame rate the 87 gets bumped up to 90 and obviously they wont append. I just cant seem to get Part2 to the same frame rate as Part 1 no matter what I do.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
