Colour Correction in VDub??

Can you corect colour/contrast,etc. in VDub?

In TMPG you can in the project sction, and often downloaded clips are colour cast, under/over saturated, too dark etc.

I have looked for this in VDub, but have not found it. Have I missed something?

Hi Flussoscuro,

VirtualDub comes with certain built-in internal filters. If you need more additional filters to enhance you video, you have to search and download them. For example, for fixing the Hue/Saturation/Intensity problem, you need the Hue/Saturation/Intensity filter for that:

There are many different filters to use with VirtualDub or VirtualDubMod. Please do the search with Google. Good luck

as ben mentioned, vdub's built-in filters can do the job just fine; use the 'hsv adjust' and/or brightness/contrast filters

Try to use a filter that gives you a preview of the adjustments as you make them. This will be easier especially if you are relatively new to use filters. Color mill is a filter that has alot of adjustments for tweaking the video and has a built-in preview window to see the adjustment changes as you make them. IMO using some of the filters is an art like painting that takes some time and patience and alot of expermentation
