file is enormous!!!!

I dont usually have problems with tmpgenc however i have opened a file in it to convert to mpeg, and usually a avi file around 120 minutes takes roughly 5 hours. this one is stating that it is going to take 24 hours? why is the file so big, and can i reduce it? please help

Let the conversion run for a couple of minutes and see if the estimated time to complete changes significantly...

By the way, if you've changed the "motion detection" to "highest", change it back to "normal".

The conversion time depends on the hardware configuration of your pc----the faster the machine the lower the time. 24 hours is not unusual though.
