Virtual dub don't append avi file...

    Virtual dub don't append avi file...

    I'm creating a small "end video" files for invite a user to insert disk two whith Flash mx...
    I'm like to merge this file at the end of the firts disk, but virtual dub have a broblem, however:

    "the video streams have different data format" or
    "the video have a different numbers of streams"...

    I don't understand!!!


    Help me please!!

    VirtualDub will only append IDENTICALLY formatted .AVIs - same resolution, same framerate, same video and audio codecs with the same settings. Therefore, you'll somehow have to convert you "small end video" to match the primary video in every aspect...

      If you're completely stuck, you could try VideoMach
      gromada.com, products, videomach, supersimple video converter, photo vacuum packer, vacuum, imagen, mcl, multimedia conversion library, source code, hav, libhav

      It has spliced many different things for me with no problems.
      Only thing is, you'll have to re-encode the whole output file. Not great for large files.

      You may, if you're being clever, convert your additional clip to be exactly the same type (frame size, codec, frame rate, audio channels/sampling rate etc)...
      I have never tried it myself...
      I'd be interested to see if you did get that working...

      Generally vdeomach is not as good as VDub but is useful for one or two things that VDub just doesn't do.
