Can't compress mp3 with virtualdub

Well,i have made at least 21 movies with virtualdub but one day all of a sudden i can't convert or edit an mp3 audio to my movies
or video's i formatted my pc twice and downloaded several version of virtualdub and nothing.Please help!!

None of the standard version of VirtualDub has ever accepted direct input of an MP3 audiostream.

NanDub will accept an MP3 audiostream, as will another hack named vdub_mp3_freeze...
