    Filtering avi problem

Whenever I try to filter avi files with virtualdub they stop at the 4 mins,3 mins etc. mark. Why does the files get so big,for example 4 mins of the video is 4GB or more?
How can I filter avi files an get the same size or maybe a little bigger?
I just want to resize avi files to smaller pixels and get rid of macroblocks.I'm talking about 700MB and 500MB avi files.

You need to selct and configure a codec for video-compression in fulkl-processing-mode. Else VD will save the video as uncompressed RGB-video which may be VERY big.
