can't use radium mp3 codec with xmpeg

i selected the radium mp3 codec (the latest version) to encode the audio in xmpeg 4.5, but the it won't work. I had to use uncompressed PCM, which takes up too much space (about 1500 KB for the audio stream). I would appreciate any help on how to fix this.

XMPEG appears to prefer the LAME MP3 codec...
