    VirtualDub Filters

A DivX I had recently gotten was a screener of Ocean's 11 and its kinda blurred so i wanted to sharpen it. Whenever I put it through the sharpener filter in VDub, it says that it's gonna be an insane file size (71218 MB or something close), and I assume that its right cause of the file size when i stop it. Even when I put it through other filters like the flip horizontal, invert, blur, logo and others, I get the same result. All I'm looking to do is sharpen and clear it up a little before i convert it to MPEG for VCD.

    LOL

That because you haven't selected any compression, to apply filters the video has to uncompressed, and therefore you need to tell virtualdub which codec you which to use for recompressing the video after applying the filters.

However I would strongly suggest that you stay with the current file, no amount of filters will magically improve the image quality, and recompressing the video will almost cirtainly degrade it.
Donate your idle CPU time for something usefull.
