Virtual Dub will fix audio?

I have heard that virtualdub will fix your audio when the video and audio do not match after avi conversion. Is this correct? IF so does anyone know how to perform such a task in virtualdub?

From the "Audio" dropdown menu, select "Interleaving" - adjust the "audio skew" accordingly. Set both "Video" and "Audio" to "Direct Stream Copying"...

Thanks Setarip, you are correct as usual. I won't say how many tries it took to pick the right number under audio skew but in the end it did work.
