Media player brightness problem

All of a sudden, every file I open in media player is too
bright. Now i have to manually turn down the brightness
every time i open a file. I don't know how this
happened. Is there any way I can change it back? maybe
through the registry or something? The same file works fine, however, in virtualdub and when i converted it to divx in flask

if you are using Windows Media Player v.6.4 and DivX v.3.11alpha, while playing the video, rightclick in the middle of the playing video. Select "Properties". Click on the "Advanced" tab. Doubleclick on the "DivX decompressor. Adjust the Brightness slider and click on "Apply" and then on "OK"...
