I am curious, is it possible to convert a 2.35 non-anamorphic DVD to an anmorphic one? I have a few older DVD's I'd like to do that with (Armageddon being the main one). Thank You!
I think what he means is, some old DVDs were not anamorphic, meaning that to the computer, the image is 4:3, and there are black bars on it. Anamorphic DVDs have 16:9 videos, not 4:3 with bars. As far as converting it goes, I am not sure.
Easiest is to use DVD Rebuilder. Dunno if the free version does this, but the pro certainly does. It's in the Options tab, AVS Expert Options, Convert from LB 4:3 to 16:9
The free version of DVD-RB certainly does 4:3 LB to 16:9. I have used it couple of times (X Files R1 and The Thing R2) which are both non anamorphic 2.35:1. The results were quite impressive.
Well I'd like it to be enhanced for widescreen because i'd rather not zoom in on the picture. If the program does it, what exactly am I doing wrong? The only setting I changed in the program was in the mode menu, i changed it to no compression because I don't have the program for CCE mode.
Well I have CCE SP 2.7 and I don't think that works with the free version of DVD Rebuilder because anytime I go to encode it, CCE gives me a message saying the folder isn't right or something along those lines.
