Second Test, with the same title, on a machine with P4 2,8 GHz, 2 GB RAM, HDD's Based on P-ATA.
It took Dualdvdrb about 237 minutes, I didn't test a normal ProCoder encoding, because this must take longer than with dualdvdrb.
I wanted to know how much less time a slower CPU needs.
In the end are there 17 minutes on a difference of 400 MHz, so the CPU is not the main reason why it would work faster with dualdvdrb ore not.
An other method of testing would be taking out two 512 MB's of RAM, but when I see, that two processes take more than 1000 MB RAM, it would be slower any way, having less tha 1000 MB in use.
Fakt is the system uses at all 1,2 - 1,4 GB RAM, because of two parallel processes, that have the same priority and diffrent other processes that have to be aktiv like rebuilder.exe, dualdvdrb.exe (all about using 30-40 MB RAM) and so on.
