I been checking out dvd rebuilder a little but just installing it looks a little tough.

If you can use the psl2 plug in you can use this program. Download the installer and you will have no worries!

thanks for the incouragement but it took alot of help with learning the plugin,but im glad i did

DVD Rebuilder comes with its own installer that sets everything up perfectly. It's a breeze. Just read through the instructions. When it comes to asking for the location of CCE, if you don't have this, then just put in any folder (folder, not drive - eg C:\TEST but not C:\). When it's installed, select your default languages to keep.

Well i got it installed and it took 300 min. to back up pink floyd the wall-7.43gb, does that sound ok?

Anything between 3.5-4.5 hrs for a 2 hours movie in Normal Quality mode is OK. Best Quality will take more time (5-6 hrs)

Thanks for the reply tech, that sure is a long time . Dont get me wrong i like learning new programs and there sure is alot to learn about this one, and plus its free im thinking about upgrading it to the pro, but i cant really tell the difference in the quality yet. I did a test one with shrink and one with dvd-rb i almost need two of the same tv's and dvd players playing it at the same time. Not sure how to compare the two yet

Have a look at some of UncasMS's tests and you'll see the difference. It's well worth the wait IMHO.

Usually you cannot make out the difference if the compression levels are low for eg 70%-80% on shrink between the two and if you are viewing the results on a normal TV (CRT), but if you go big screen and more compression i,e.50-70%, you can make out the diff immediately.

I like to learn how UncasMS, was 46% did the test, The compression was 46% for the full disk for shrink. TV is a lcd hd ready yea i will have to read alittle more about the program i like it.

The differences are quite apparent when you get into higher compression encodes. Uncas' test shots are Here

Load all the pics then you can scroll through them, and the quality difference is easily seen.

Thanks furiousg, another question after i used dvd-rb i ended up with some extra files in my working folder can i delete all of them.
