rebuilder pro disappears!

i am trying to create an iso from a dvd.

i don't know what i am doing wrong. i have reviewed my settings, checked here (and doom9) and everything seems to be set right, but everytime i select "backup" dvd rebuilder just disappears.

i get a D2VAVS folder and a rebuilder log created that says "One Click encoding activated..." but the application closes/disappears. if i open task manager there is nothing there.

if i unselect 'one click" and select "prepare" rebuilder disappears and i get no log or anything else i can find.

my setup looks almost exactly like the image shown in the forum, all the encoder directories properly selected, but still all i get is a disappearing application. can someone please help me solve this?

try disabling the make iso function...
did it work before,have you changed anything on your computer - whats your configuration
try reinstalling dvdrb...

the free version worked, but it didn't have the iso feature so i went to pro.

Just a hunch, disconnect from the internet and turn off your AV and spyware. Post back if successful (or not).

try garys suggestion,im no pc expert,those were just suggestions,also i think his ide is good,i read somwhere that that firewalls - i have zonealarm and had to enable some programs - can affect other software like this

I know this is no solution - jdobbs may be able to help - but if the free version worked, then go back to it. Make an ISO with PgcEdit and burn with ImgBurn - see http://www.digital-digest.com/~bluta...pgcedit_v2.htm

When it disappears, is it in the task list after you hit ctrl-alt-delete? Maybe you have it running minimised and somehow it is minimising not to the taskbar?

Are you on v1.09.2 Pro (latest)?

Checked for overheating? (Although if the encode finishes that wouldn't be an issue).

As a workaround, try to encode with Pro and rebuild with Free (if that works) - I know this is sub-optimal.

As another means of making an iso with the freeware version you could try Folder2Iso.

thank you all for your suggestions. i got frustrated and went on to something else, but i will be ready to try again soon. (currently i am dubbing several movies for my handheld.) i won’t get to rebuilder again for a couple of days, but i didn’t want y’all to think i was copping out.

Are you a registered user? There is a badly patched pirated version out there that does exactly what you're describing.

The place to buy DVD Rebuilder is at this link. The Rebuilder.RBK file is peculiar to your computer hardware. If a (badly) patched version exists and you bought it from a no good pirate, it unfortunately sounds like you have been had.

If you are a real registered user, then run Reg-RB.exe and get a new "key".
