Does the free version 097 of DVD-Rebuilder accept AVS scripts?

Current DVD-rebuilder setup

DVD FabDecrypter
DVD Rebuilder 097
Avisynth 2.5
HC 018

This setup works fine from start to finish. But as soon as you write an AVS script and put it into DVD Rebuilder/AVS options/filter editor it won't open
HC 018 and generate the m2v file.

Current script:

loadplugin("C:\programfiles\avisynth2.5\plugins\au tocrop.dll")
autocrop()

The avisynth filter plugin, autocrop.dll was put into the Avisynth plugin folder.

This was put into DVD Rebuilder AVS options filter editor:
autocrop()

and I tried this method also into DVD Rebuilder AVS options filter editor, but still would not work.

Why won't DVD Rebuilder accept this script?

I don't use filters much but IIRC you can use the filter editor with the Freeware edition. Add it via the expert settings and not as a script directly. This way it gets placed properly in the AVS file.

DVD rebuilder does not accept the loadplugin command in script, remove them and instead copy the filter .dll to avisynth plugins folder.

does dvd rb automatically resize/addborders() for dvd compliancy after cropping?

btw, should be autocrop(mode=0)

When DVD Rebuilder backs up a DVD it keeps the resolution of the original-- so yes, it assures compliancy. It also will do some conversions for you (like Half-D1, or 4:3->16:9 conversion). But if you add a filter that changes the sizing to something non-compliant it is very likely the encoder will fail.

@ed klein: no reason to crop, unless there's some ugly artefacts/morse code (eg with dvb streams) in the borders, but if you wish to do so, do it manually, crop() then addborders() with the same values

Its better not to use the avisynth resizing with DVD rebuilder, since DVD rebuilder writes/changes all the IFO files after the encoding process and it does not know what resolution you have given in the script, which will cause problems during playback.
