ASK & you shall receive ... You Guys are THE BEST. Between UnCasMS, NWG, and BluTach explanations ... now I got the Picture.

@NWG, funny you should mention ytour big screen TV ... I just ran into that problem when I started to watch my back-up at my daughters ... she has a 53 inch Plasma TV and boy did I see my mess ... like a outline around the pictures ... so I had to stop and pop in my original .. .but told the grand-kids to keep their paws away. So, now I get your point.

BTW, I never use Deep Analysis+AEC on my DVDS ... since I am not very patient person ... you know "Us" old guys!!!

So, one more Q to change my process ... would it be safe when backing up ... if is anything better than 70% with Standard DVDShrink set up to leave it alone. For anything below that ... then I should DVDDec rypt the files sinc eI think I recalll DVD-RB likes File forms ... and run it thru DVD-RB and set it to fit on a DVD-5 ... for example a 2hrs 45minutes movie usually we are talking around 58 to 59% on Shrink.

If you're using DVD Shrink, ALWAYS use the AEC and Deep Analysis.

In terms of compression, % is meaningless. Please read compression explained in my signature.
