1. Downloaded HC018 zip package.
2. Moved HCenc_018.exe, HCgui_018.exe, HC.ini and the matrix directory into ..\DVD-RB\Encoders\HC Encoder directory.
3. Renamed HCenc_018.exe to HCbatch.exe over-writing the installed version.
4. Moved HCenc_018.exe back into ..\DVD-RB\Encoders\HC Encoder again.
So I've got:
HCenc_018.exe
HCgui_018.exe
HC.ini
HCbatch.exe
matrix (dir)
in ..\DVD-RB\Encoders\HC Encoder directory.
I did not install the DGDecode .dlls at all. Nor did I do anything with the misc directory found in the zip file.
I fired up Rebuilder.exe and had a ball.
So yeah, it operated correctly (afaik) but I noticed that a) I needed HCbatch.exe in there to fade in Rebuilders Menu bar: Mode | HC Encoder Mode (without the file it was faded out). b) Launching HCgui_018.exe I needed HCenc_018.exe in there so HCenc info (the button) could id it. c) I renamed HCenc_018 to HCbatch so's I knew I was running with the latest version.
Have I over complicating the upgrade? Or missed anything?
