Yes you are correct. I did X-men 3 again and yet I still got a 4.48G size file. I'm not sure what the malfunction is and if no one else is having the same problem then I guess it must be something with my computer.

I don't understand how did a encoded a movie and recieved an output of 4.17 and then the next one was 4.48G?

Give me a day or so to look at it. I'm looking at something with the interplay of "movie only" mode and unreferenced cells that may be related, but I'm not sure yet.

I'm not too hopeful, though, as "Movie and Menus" works differently...

One thing thats confusing me about your log is the "Extracting STILLS" actions that cover entire segments... I'm not getting that when I do XMEN 3. Are you still editing with VOBBLANKER?

Also, you may want to look in the output directory and make sure there aren't any subdirectories in there that have been added by some other package (and take up space)... look especially under the VIDEO_TS folder -- there should be no directories at all anywhere except AUDIO_TS (empty) and VIDEO_TS in the D2VAVS directory. Also make sure there aren't any files other than .IFO, .BUP and .VOB files.

Ok... I just followed the code, and there has to be some editing involved that is causing this. Can you give me a play-by-play of what you are doing in terms of editing before, during, and after running DVD-RB?

I hardly used VOBBlanker...I used MenuShirink often, but I always make sure to delete the backup folder that is created. I did X-men again, but this time i did a full DVD back-up and I did it in 3 steps rather than the 1-click. I used the Beta/Viewer to remove some of the movie trailers and adjust the compression ratio of difffernt parts of the DVD. The final version came out to the 4.28G that I designated.

Does it have to be a 3 step process. After I finish editing post-prepare mode can I make it go to Encode and Rebuild in one Step.

Yes, simply click Rebuild.

No need to delete the backup folders either. Rebuilder ignores them.

If they are in the D2VAVS, VIDEO_TS OR AUDIO_TS folders and you create an ISO they probably won't be ignored. Also if you use some other program to burn the VIDEO_TS and it has junk in it -- the junk will add to the size.
