Super will no longer run

Did my yearly reformatting, re-installed programs and data, and all is working well...EXCEPT Super. When I try to start it up I get this message:

"Windows cannot access the specified device path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access them."

Uninstalled and re-installed, but same problem.

WTF?? I've never had this problem before. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, thought it might be my anti-virus program (AVG), so uninstalled it, installed Microsoft Security Essentials in its place, and reinstalled Super. Super is now working perfectly...
