    "bitrate too high"?

    hi.

i've recently been using the trial version of DVD Author 1.6 and so far it's been doing exactly what i wanted it for - making compilations of various other DVD movie scenes. very easy too.

just one thing is when i do the final "output" command, it keeps saying my bitrate is too high - exceeding 9.8 mbps or something. i usually ignore and the disc seems to come out fine.

is this something i should worry about?

sorry i missed this thread, yes. i found just yesterday as a matter of fact while doing some testing that one player would not playback such a high bitrate, while another would. myself i'd stay below the 8000 rule. this is why TMPGEnc Plus has 8000 max. generally, nothing above 7000 for me though. even with a constant bitrate and a high motion video the quality is impecable with no visable pixelation whatsoever (considering the source is of high quality). what software did you use to create such a high bitrate video clip?

actually these clips were just ripped from DVDs (using DVDShrink). don't really know why the errors are coming up but they don't seem to mean anything
