Audio sync problem

I'm doing a video from video tape for a local group. I have to use video from one source and audio from another.

I've made the vob files and mp2 audio files and I want to use TMPGenc Dvd Author to make the DVD but I can't get and Video and audio in sync. Any suggestions on how or which tools might help.

which version of dvd author? 2.0 has audio gap correction, 1.6 does not for example. if 1.6, you'll have to re-encode the file applying the correction in TMPGEnc Plus, then author. it's explained here

I have older versions of the software. I will try and find upgrades. Those guides look like they might do the trick.

no problem

if you have 1.6, just re-encode it as per the guide using the sync correction.
