Can I create my own Play Return etc buttons ?

    TMPGenc DVD author 2,0
I am not happy with the choice of button artwork available, and clicking on one to alter it only leaves me with a browse to file as a possible way of replacing it. How can I create my own ? TMPGencs file extensions are strange. I have a nice background yet no suitable buttons for it. Frustrating. At the least I wish to change their colour. Looks like to choose another one means running the menu wizard and losing all that I have done so far.

      Hi Lt Columbo,
I guess that means absolute no way can I alter these buttons then,...damn.

I keep buying progs for this video editing thing !
Any suggestions which one, something that allows me to have greater control over these menus, from button design, altering button colours and shapes, through to thumbnail frame colours (chose pink frame then couldnt alter the pink afterwards when I opted for a different colour background), and importantly being able to have motion background to menus, fade in/out of sound and menus for 16:9. Drop shadows, fonts etc.
Also to be able to have many chapters (say 30) as lines of text on just a few pages of menu for when the need arises, as I need just now.

And good quick tech support with it.

I will be needing Womble for creative editing of mpeg2 shortly, their one proggy also authors, is that going to be better for the above ?

DVD-lab PRO is a wonderful DVD authoring software. It's too difficult to learn except the price is a little high (about $250.00 though). You can, however, download the free trial

          Benbryant,
Thanks for the suggestion, if its too difficult to learn, I am a little uneasy in considering it though as you say a demo is available. TMPGenc is easy to get on with, but limited in user freedom with menus once you start to need to make changes during design. Altering buttons seems to be the main issue, having spent the afternoon doing 90 or more chapters. Just remember to think carefully about background image and buttons apearance. Theres no changing them afterwards.

Its sound fade for moving backgrounds doesnt fade but ends blunt, odd balance between global setting and clip duation, get it too big and it starts to play beginning of clip, messed about with loop on off etc..to no avail, tried all ways !
