    Jerky Output

    Hello,

I scrupulously followed the .avi/.mpg conversion guide and the result is a jerky movie. Any help would b appreciated. Thank you.

if you are certain you followed it right,

try de-selecting "inverse telecine" if that does nothing than the file is garbage.

      Thanks for your answer Columbo.
DE-SELECTING "Inverse telecine" solved the problem.
Do you know why its the opposite of what's suggested to do in the guide? Does it have something to do with HD? I can see the HD logo on the movie so im assuming the .avi has been made from an HD broadcast?

i cannot offer a technical explanation - i'm sorry. i just know quick fixes from my experience with this software

this has happened to me a number of times BUT is quite rare to encounter this. (you did have DSMFR raised to highest priority as i mentioned?) being HD has nothing to do with it, perhaps a codec conflict? if it happens again, you know what to do at least
