Can't get more than 24 chapters in?!

    Hi Guys,
I am new with DVD authoring and I am trying to transfer 28 video files to DVD. But TMPGEnc will only show 24 of the files on the menus. I have tried having all 28 files in 1 track, and also tried breaking it down in 2 and even 3 tracks. It won't work, the maximum is always 24.

Is there a solution for this? Or will I have to start all over again with another authoring program?

    Thanks so much,

        separate encode?

[... wow, I had a long reply (my first), but even though the web page confirmed I was logged in, when I hit Submit the system said I was not logged in.

So here's the short version ....]

That's a lot clips for an authoring program. I suspect most peoples' workflow would be to use a separate editor and encoder to produce a single (MPEG2) movie file to import into the authoring program. That doesn't excuse an unadvertised limitation (if that's what you found), but may explain why you aren't getting answers here.

FWIW, I'm working on a project with 137 clips, but I'm editing and encoding the movie in TMPG XPress, then using the single result in TMPG Author.

TMPGEnc Plus is an older version of TMPGEnc Express. I am talking about the ENCODER and NOT the TMPGEnc author software program.

TMPGEnc Plus is an encoder down to a max of a DVD-5 (4.7gb) maybe with your 28 files you have exceeded the limit of 4.7gb. I would guess 28 files is past the limit of 4.7gb of video space.
