TMPGEnc only loads audio not video

Hi, I've been using TMPGEnc 2.5 for ages now, but since installing on a
new PC it will not load the video component of a file. I'm still on XP as
before, but where TMPGEnc used to load everything with no problems at
all, it now flashes it's screen when loading the video file, and ends up only
loading the audio component of the file. I'm still trying to use the KVCD
templates which I used to make hundreds of disks.

I have set the DirectShow Multimedia File Reader to priority 2, but nothing
works.

Can anybody please help?

Install AviSynth if you don't already have it and try a one-liner script to load the video.

AviSource("Myvid.avi")
or
DirectShowSource("Myvid.avi")
and see if it goes.

There was a guide on videohelp.com about all the settings for
TMpgEnc Plus. What to set the priorities at etc..

either that or you don't have a codec on the new PC that you used to have
