Full Screen

Hello again. I'm using TMPG Express 4.0 (latest version) to convert Windows Media wtv files into divx files. Isn't it great that the program can import wtv files now? Anyway, how do you figure out what resolution (or other settings) to use to make the final divx file full screen on a 16X9 large screen television? That's assuming the original program was not in 4X3 format.

Too Complex

I guess I need to answer my own post. Encoding can be a very complicated affair. There are helpful websites out there, but nothing can take the place of patient trial and error. I find that cropping the black bars off and encoding at 720X480 works best for 16X9 videos.
