I am pretty new to this but have figured out how most of the core software works and what it does. I have been converting my avi divx files to VCD and what I do not understand is why sometimes my VCD gets a high pitch digital sounding beep that get louder and more frequent when the sound level increases? None of the DVD's that I have ripped myself have had this problem but MOST of the avi's I have converted do have this problem. Here is what I am doing.
1. split the avi into 2 and re-encode audio to 224/44.1/2channel in virtualdub
2. open avi's in TMPEng and set video preferences (23.97, 352x240) and save to mpg
3. use nero to make VCD.
What am i doing wrong?
