Hi
I have just bought a new PC with a WinTV Express Capture card in it (I believe it is in the 878 series).
I want to be able to capture video from my analogue camcorder and record it onto SVCD (and eventually DVD). So far however, using the WinTV software, I can only capture at VCD quality (352x288).
I did find a sort of work around and have managed to capture video in 640x480 using Windows Movie Maker, saved it to AVI and then converted to MPEG-2, but that was very time consuming.
Does anybody know if I will be able to do real time MPEG capturing to MPEG-2 standards or even AVI capturing at a higher resolution with this card, or do I need to upgrade?
Thanks
Jo
