Sony dcr-pc9 to CD playable in DVD

I have a Sony DCR-PC9 dual media mini-video cam corder. The mpeg portion is not a conscern. I am trying to find out if there is an easy/simple way to take the video/audio from the cam..thru a firewire....and then record it onto conventional cd's to play in my DVD. I only have a CD burner and not a DVD burner.

I have tried grapgedit and it always locks up when I right click on it.

I have also tried virtualdub and it is not working properly either.

Any help would be appreciated.
