I am trying to convert a vhs tape to vcd and have captured it as an mpeg-1 vcd compliant file, however it is a stereo file and as i was using a mono vcr, has all audio on the left hand side. What is the easiest way of doing this? Is it easiest to de-mux, decode to wav and then encode as a mono .mp2 audio file? or is there software that will do it all for me? If i use the demux/reencode method do i need to worry about delays or will the audio still be in sync when i remux the mono audio and the video? Many thanks.
