method that works the best for me for SVCD

I'm brand new to encoding but I've put my share of hours into this the last couple weeks and I just wanted to share this with people. I've found for me what works best is to convert DVD to AVI, then AVI to MPEG2, then burn it if you like. It seems to take alot less time then trying to go from the .IFO file to MPEG2 directly with Flask (this method took almost 2x as long). I have to say the picture with SVCD is fantastic. Well, just wanted to share that. Great job everyone, the guides are amazing!
