Hello,
I have read many audio-sync posts and so far I still have not encountered a good answer to my problem.
I ripped and encoded a DVD to DivX and it sounded fine. The next day when I played the movie, the audio preceded the video by about 6 seconds. After fixing the problem with VirtualDub (using the audio delay function), the video played fine. I then tried to convert the file to SVCD using TMPGenc, and (three hours latter) the sound was again delayed. I tried to play my "fixed" AVI again and the sound was not in sync anymore. I am going crazy and I swear my computer has a ghost. I have never had such problems before. It is the most bizaare thing. Has anyone encountered anything similar to this? I will give more info if needed.
Just some info and how I had to encode it. I ripped Harry Potter and original had problems getting the whole movie in English. I eventually figure out that I had to rip the first VOB seperately. After encoding to DivX, I cut the DivX into two files. (The original was in sync). The resulting files eventually become out of sync.
aarrrhhhh!!!
Any help would be great -
