Hey, guys, long time lurker, first time poster. This may seem like a strange request, but I do a lot of video work where I would love to replicate an error that I've gotten before, so that I can use it as a transition in future projects.
The reason I'm posting here, in the DivX/XviD forum is because I have only ever seen the error with DivX and XviD.
Here are a few screenshots I was able to take of the problem that I want to replicate:
...and a video that someone created with an abundance of the error:
To me, it seems like it could simply be that there aren't enough I-Frames, and that parts of the P-Frames prior to the transition, that share similar luminosity to those after, replace parts of the P-Frames after, and the encoder doesn't "notice" until there is a larger change.
So far though, that's only a guess and hasn't gotten me anywhere nearer to replicating this in a controlled way.
Any help you can give me would be great, I would really like to use this as a transition, but don't feel like waiting for it to randomly happen for that opportunity to arise.
